YWCA KAUAI VOLUNTEER WORKYWCA of Kauai’s mission is to “eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all”. The organization on Kauai was founded in 1921 and took on issues dealing with the treatment of humans, focusing especially on women. Not only does the YWCA of Kauai focus on promoting peace, but the organization provides training opportunities for individuals to learn to make change in our world.
According to the YWCA themselves, they are “the oldest and largest multicultural women’s organization in the world”. The YWCA is a global organization spanning from the Hawaiian Islands to anywhere in the world! This organization continues to expand more and more around the world helping women!
