KOKUA HARVEST VOLUNTEER WORK

Kōkua Harvest is a non-profit and community-based organization that specializes in collecting excess food from farmlands and home owners, then distribute the harvest to low-income communities. Volunteers can help with on-site harvesting, food distribution, and sometimes computer-based work if it is needed.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
Must be of 16 years of age to volunteer without a parent present. Younger volunteers need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
To register, fill out a volunteer application.

Volunteer Expectations:

• Respect yourself: drink water and take breaks when needed
• Respect others: wear a mask, keep distanced, know where your tools are placed
• Respect the 'āina: work only in specified areas, dispose of your trash
• Respect the equipment: ask how to use a tool if you don't know, keep the tools clean, don't throw the tools
  
• Respect the harvest: don't throw produce, harvest what you would be comfortable eating
