KONA HISTORICAL SOCIETY VOLUNTEER WORKThe Kona Historical Society is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1976 to preserve and showcase the history of the Kona district on the Big Island of Hawaii. This community-based society has three historic sites that they take care of and share knowledge from. They educate visitors on their sites, what had previously been there, and what is still there. Other activities that are offered are scheduled tours of sites with activities, learning sessions, off-road jeep trips, and other cultural programs. They humbly accept donations through their website. The Historical Society has a wide variety of volunteering opportunities within their program which is also accessible through their website.
