KARES - KOHALA ANIMAL RELOCATION AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICE VOLUNTEER WORKFounded in 2009, the Kohala Animal Relocation and Education Service (K.A.R.E.S.) is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving animals on the island of Hawai’i. They are working towards giving animals permanent homes through their adoptive and foster care services, as K.A.R.E.S. strongly embraces their no-kill philosophy. As a volunteer on K.A.R.E.S.’s 100% no paid staff, you can help out in spay/neutering clinics, at awareness-raising events, and much more.
