LUNALILO HOME VOLUNTEER WORKEstablished by King Lunalilo, this home was built to accommodate the infirmed and those without basic needs, with a preference to older people of Hawaiian ancestry. With the values of this home to be aloha, hōʻihi, laulima, mālama, hoʻomanawanui, lokomaikaʻi and pono (love/compassion, respect, cooperation, caring, patience, generosity, and doing what is right), volunteers are welcomed to share their talents. This can be anything from performing Hawaiian music and hula, making floral arrangements, assisting in the office, or simply talking and engaging in games with the residents. Sharing your talents to better care to the kūpuna community, provides a chance to help your community.
