RAINBOW FRIENDS ANIMAL SANCTUARY VOLUNTEER WORKRainbow Friends Animal Sanctuary is a no-kill organization that cares and provides a home for unwanted, abused, and neglected animals. They were founded in 1999 by Mary Rose Krjigsman with the goal of helping with the overpopulation of strays all the while saving the lives of innocent animals. They rescue dogs and cats that are then given the opportunity to be fostered and/or adopted. Any animals that are unable to find a family are provided a permanent home at the sanctuary. They also provide veterinary care and help with medical costs for families that cannot afford it. Thanks to this sanctuary, animals from all around Hawaii Island are now safe, happy, and healthy.
