KAUAI FOREST BIRD RECOVERY PROJECT VOLUNTEER WORK

Kauai Forest Bird Recovery Project (KFBRP) aims to promote conservation, information, and appreciation of Kauai’s beautiful and unique forest birds. Many birds have gone extinct due to habitat loss, the introduction of avian malaria and other causes. Founded in 2003, Kauai's Forest Bird Recovery Project works to preserve the remaining species and their habitats.  For more information, check out the box on the right.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
You must be at least 16 years old to volunteer.
Contact the organization with a brief description of your experience, how you would like to get involved, and your availability.

Volunteer Requirements:

• Depends on what volunteer work is being done.
• Good endurance + physical fitness for field work.

Volunteer Expectations:

• Volunteers who sign up for field work should be able to commit 3 to 5 days for field ventures into the Alakai Plateau to take data.
