HAWAII LITERACY VOLUNTEER WORKHawaii Literacy is an organization devoted to promoting English literacy for Hawaii’s citizens. This program strives to educate both children and adults who are illiterate, whether it be because they are learning English as a second language or are fluent in English but want further guidance in the area of reading and writing. Hawaii Literacy ensures that it pairs its learners with tutors who carefully assist their students in the best way possible. Hawaii Literacy is active on O’ahu, Kauai, and the Big Island. Through cultivating reading, writing, and learning skills in the people of Hawaii, Hawaii Literacy envisions a strengthened community of families and students.
Hawaii Literacy is always willing to accept new volunteers that are willing to help further their cause of bringing greater literacy to the people of Hawaii. Volunteer and other options include donating books and technology, tutoring, sorting books, taking pictures, assembling games, interacting with students, and much more! |
