HANALEI WATERSHED HUI VOLUNTEER WORKThe Hanalei Watershed Hui is a non-profit environmental organization that was founded in 2000. They have made it their mission to conserve the Hanalei, Waioli, Waipa, and Waikoko Ahupua’a. They have focused their efforts on the restoration of the natural, cultural, and economic assets of Hanalei Watershed using Hawaiian principles of sustainability and balance. Projects include a water quality monitoring effort, trail restoration, and cesspool replacement. Their vision of the Hanalei Watershed is one where the natural resources are conserved, the economy is sustainable, and the cultural traditions of Hanalei Watershed are preserved!
