AMERICAN RED CROSS VOLUNTEER WORKThe American Red Cross of Hawaii is one branch of the nationwide organization. By combining the passionate efforts of volunteers and donors, the Red Cross of Hawaii soothes or extinguishes human suffering wherever possible. In the face of natural disasters, in particular, the Red Cross of Hawaii provides immediate relief as well as disaster prevention, preparation, and survival education to the citizens.
This organization embraces the diversity of Earth and the collective human experience. Compassion, collaboration, creativity, credibility, and commitment form the pillars of the Red Cross mindset. Anyone and everyone is invited to dedicate themselves to the well-being of humanity through the American Red Cross of Hawaii. DIFFERENT OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE:

Fill out the Volunteer Application to apply! ------ Disaster Response: Hands-on work in the field. Training varies depending on position but is being done online. Select this option if you want to respond in the event of a disaster, including if you'd like to deploy to the mainland or other islands (not required), or if you want to assist in disaster response behind the scenes. Having a car and a drivers license is necessary for sheltering. Sheltering: Volunteers help support emergency shelters by staffing different areas, including reception, registration, feeding, dormitory, information collection and other vital tasks. |
