KAUAI FOOD BANK VOLUNTEER WORKBorn out of a desperate need to feed the victims of Hurricane ‘Iniki in 1992, Kauai Independent Food Bank (KIFB) is now an award-winning and officially recognized nonprofit that provides around 435 thousand meals annually for Kauai’s hungry. Serving the island community through education and emergency-response as well as nutrition, KIFB’s programs and volunteer efforts continue to promote food security and compassion with the principles of ALOHA. Known as the most innovative food bank of its kind, KIFB could always use more volunteers to aid them in their quest for better lives in the community.
