NATIONAL KIDNEY FOUNDATION OF HAWAII VOLUNTEER WORK
The National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii is the leading organization fighting against kidney and urinary tract infections in the state. It is a proud part of the wider National Kidney Foundation, with locations all around the country and over 200 chapters around the world fighting for the people afflicted by kidney disease. The Foundation as a whole has made huge strides in its history, most notably working with the federal government to make organ transplants covered by Medicare. Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to get involved with the effort, with opportunities ranging from office work to running special events to assisting at kidney screenings.
